Japan Avenue is a Davao-based shop for Japanese beauty, wellness and pantry staples: sourced in Japan, checked against Japanese labels, and delivered across the Philippines.

How it started

A small shelf in Obrero

Buying Japanese beauty in the Philippines used to mean taking someone’s word for it. Grey imports, resealed boxes, mystery batch codes and prices that moved every week, you only found out what you’d bought once it was on your face.

So we started doing the sourcing ourselves. Every item on this site is bought in Japan, checked against its Japanese label and batch code, and priced once. If we can’t verify it, we don’t stock it.

Today that shelf lives on N. Torres Street in Obrero, Davao City, a short walk from USEP, and ships nationwide twice a week. Two Davao kitchens we love, MariMatcha and Hakata Yatai, carry the same standard.
